Book Review 2017 Almanac (Llewellyn)

I’ve been reading the Llewellyn’s 2017 Magical Almanac, and I must say this year’s issue is even better than last year’s.

A few articles really jumped out at me. The first is by: Penny Billington “The Magic and Mystery of the Forest.”  This is a great read and inspires us to get back outside and talk to trees!

Another one I found to be just great is by: Ash Wennsday Everrel “City Protection Magic” This is very similar to what I would do when I lived in Toronto. One of the reasons I left the city was that the negativity was becoming unbearable. I’m highly sensitive to the energy of others and the daily bombardment of anger, bitterness and desperation was eating away at me. I did many protection rituals that I intended to post here, but this article surpasses what I would have written. This is a must read for anyone living in the city. And Ash, just so you know you are not alone, I have been pushed down on the sidewalk and spat on too! (Why can’t we all just get along?)

I’m ¾ of the way through the almanac so these are just my favourites so far. I really recommend this almanac because of all the great articles as well as a fabulous “almanac section”. This has all the information you need day to day.

Enjoy and blessed be
