The Magickal Art of Bathing Pt. 2
Yesterday we discussed in detail how to create your own magickal bath. If you haven’t read it yet, read here to get you started before you plan for a Monday Magickal Bath.
Monday is a good time to have a magickal bath ritual just before sleep to induce prophetic dreams.
(You can also do Monday baths during the waning moon to rid yourself of nightmares, or during the waxing phase to bring you peaceful and restful sleep. Just look up the appropriate correspondences for your purpose.)
Colours for prophetic dreams include blue, orange, silver and purple.
Stones include amethyst, azurite, lodestone, moonstone and sodalite.
Plants and herbs include angelica, anise, celery seed, cinnamon, heliotrope, jasmine, laurel, lilac, marigold, mandrake, mugwort, peppermint, rose, clary sage, sandalwood, violet, wormwood and yarrow. (Please note that some herbs are toxic to breathe in and/or shouldn’t be ingested. When this is the case you can use herbs to sprinkle around your sacred space or have in a bowl of the herb in the room. Research the herbs you use to be sure if they are toxic or not.)
Cleanse and charge all of your ingredients before the ritual.
The element to tap into is water. Kind of perfect for a magickal bath!
Your ritual can include a chant such as:
In my dreams I can see
What has not yet come to be.
Prophetic dreams come to me.
Come to me as I sleep.
You could also add a dream pillow filled with marigold and mugwort. Sew it into a piece of blue cloth. Cleanse it and charge it, and place it beneath your pillow.
May your dreams be magickal!
